Police in bid to trace thieves who stole 4x4s

POLICE are investigating the theft of two four-by-four vehicles in North Yorkshire.

Thieves took a green Land Rover Discovery, with tinted rear windows, which had been left outside a workshop at Pickhill at about 7pm on Friday while the owner was inside for a short time.

A black Land Rover Defender was seen nearby at the time.

Later on – between 7.30pm and midnight – a Range Rover was stolen from the village of Pilmoor, to the north-west of Easingwold.

Extensive police inquiries are ongoing to identify the suspects. Officers are keen to hear about possible suspicious vehicles or individuals in the area.
