Police hunt for missing Leeds girl

Police are urgently appealing for information to trace a 14-year-old girl who has gone missing in Leeds.

Katie Hutchinson was last seen at about 8pm yesterday (March 9) in Briggate. She has been missing before and is known to frequent the city centre.

She is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, with long red/brown hair. She was last seen wearing a grey and white hoody, jogging bottoms and black boots.

Detective Inspector Marc Bowes, of Leeds District Safeguarding Unit, said: "We are very concerned for Katie's welfare and urgently need to trace her. We would like to hear from anyone who has seen her or who has any information on her current whereabouts. 

"Katie has gone missing on a number of previous occasions but this does not lessen the concerns we have for her each time. With all such cases, we will continue to work closely with our partner agencies to put wider safeguarding provisions in place." 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Leeds District Safeguarding Unit via 101 quoting log number 1857 of March 9.
