Police launch urgent appeal after woman forced into car in early hours in West Yorkshire

Police have launched an urgent appeal after a woman was forced into a car in the early hours of this morning in West Yorkshire.

West Yorkshire Police are concerned for the safety of a woman who was reportedly seen being forced into a white car at about 1.40am on Friday (April 3) in the Bulay Road area of Thornton Lodge, Huddersfield.

A member of the public reported seeing a man and woman arguing in the street before the woman was forced into the car, which then drove off.

Both the man and woman were said to be in their 30s or 40s, police said.

Officers are carrying out inquiries in the area to identify any further witnesses.

They are also appealing for anyone who may have CCTV footage connected to the incident to contact them.

Anyone who saw the argument or the vehicle driving away, or may know the identity of the man or woman, is urged to contact West Yorkshire Police immediately on 101, quoting log number 95 of 3 March 2020, or via the online reporting system.
