Police launch urgent appeal to find missing 22-year-old West Yorkshire university student

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a missing Huddersfield University student.

The last confirmed sighting of Yiting Zhang, 22, - who was a student at Huddersfield University studying Accountancy - was on July 20 at her student accommodation block on Kings Bridge Road, Huddersfield.

The last confirmed contact with her was on Thursday August 20 and there are concerns for her welfare, police said.

She was reported missing when she failed to meet family on August 21.

It is thought that she could be in the Whitechapel area of London with enquiries potentially placing her there as recently as Bank Holiday Monday (31 August).

She is described as 5’5 tall and of medium build.

She wears glasses and has dark hair, police said.

Yiting or anyone who sees her is asked to call West Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting reference 13200423820.
