British Transport Police (BTP) have now issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to following the assault.

The 22-year-old victim, from Leeds, was in the toilets on October 4 when he was “touched inappropriately”, BTP said.

PC Cara Andrew, investigating, said: “This unwanted advance took place in the men’s toilets on platform 8 shortly after 9.30pm, and the victim left the area immediately, understandably shaken.”

BTP say they have followed a number of lines of enquiry into the incident, including circulating an image on police intelligence systems, without success.

PC Andrew added: “Unwanted inappropriate behaviour like this can be a very distressing experience for anyone.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured, or knows his whereabouts, to contact us.”
