Police search for missing Huddersfield teenager

Police are trying to find a 16-year-old girl who has gone missing from her home in Huddersfield.

West Yorkshire Police say they are concerned for the welfare of Kerry Townend, who was last seen at 7pm on Sunday, 10 April, in Lidget Street, Lindley.

She is 5ft 2ins, slim, with shoulder-length blonde hair, which she sometimes wears up.

She was last seen wearing light blue jeans and a zipped hooded top.

Police have appealed for anyone who knows where she is to call Kirklees Safeguarding Unit via 101.

They are also appealing directly to Kerry to make contact to confirm she is safe and well.
