Police searching for woman who was 'forced into a car' in Hull

Police are trying to trace a young woman whom witnesses claimed was forced into a BMW by a man in Hull.

The incident took place on Fountain Road at around 11.30am on Saturday.

Several members of the public reported that the woman, aged around 19, had been grabbed by a man and forced into a silver BMW 3 Series with 57 plates.

The woman is described as being white, around 5ft 1in and of slim build with long blonde/ginger hair and was wearing a pale yellow vest top and light coloured trousers.

The driver of the BMW is described as being white, around 5ft 10in and in his mid-thirties with dark brown hair and wearing a hi-vis jacket.

Detective Sergeant Rob Jones from Humberside Police asked for the woman concerned to get in touch with the police if she is safe and well.

“Our first priority is to carry out a welfare check on the woman in question and I would like to appeal to both her, and the BMW driver, directly to get in touch.

“If you’re the woman we are looking for, please contact police as a matter of urgency, and let us know you’re ok.

“If you witnessed this incident yesterday, or hold any information which could help with our ongoing enquiries, please get in touch. We are especially keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage."
