Police support officer on child sex charges
A FORMER West Yorkshire police community support officer will appear in court this week charged with child sex offences.
Liam Austerfield, 26, from Wakefield, goes before Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with possession of indecent images, making indecent images and inciting sexual activity with a child.
Police confirmed last month that Austerfield, whose patch covered Ossett and Horbury, had been arrested and resigned from the police service.
