Ram raiders targeted Hull bookmakers and convenience store in two separate attacks this morning

Humberside Police said it had received two reports about a vehicle being drive into businesses in the city in an attempt to break in.

A bookmakers on Westleigh Close in Bransholme and a convenience store on Cheltenham Avenue on Sutton Park were both targeted.

A police spokesman said: "No one was hurt in either incident but both premises suffered damage. At this stage it is not known what, if anything, has been taken.

"Officers will be guarding the scenes this morning to allow for forensic officers to attend."

Anyone with information about either of the incidents is asked to call the force via 101, quoting log 23 14/08/18.
