Residents evacuated as unexploded bomb found in Harrogate
RESIDENTS have been evacuated from their homes as experts work to remove an unexploded bomb found in a house in Harrogate.
Police received a report at 1.10pm today that a historical unexploded shell had been discovered at a property in Bogs Lane in the Starbeck area.
Properties in the area have been evacuated and there is a 100m cordon in place.
Bogs Lane and Kingsley Drive are both blocked off.
Two fire engines and police are currently on the scene and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team are on their way to remove the shell.
