Reward offered in bid to catch killer on run

A REWARD of £3,000 is being offered for information leading to the conviction of a murderer who has been on the run for eight years.

Sheik Adeen Abakar Mohamed was a refugee who fled violence in Sudan only to be stabbed to death on the streets of Hull. Mr Mohamed, 29, was stabbed through the heart in Jameson Street in the early hours of July 24, 2003.

The chief suspect is Tony Karim, who is believed to have returned to his native Iraq but retained strong links with Hull.

Det Supt Dena Fleming said: “It is really important that anyone living in Hull who is still in contact with Tony Karim or knows where he is now gets in touch and tells us what they know.”
