Rings worth £7,000 stolen from York antiques shop

A tray containing rings worth £7,000 has been stolen from an antiques shop in York.

Police are appealing for information after the theft at York Minster Antiques, College Street, York, between 12.30pm and 1.10pm on August 29.

A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “A dark brown velvet display tray holding 27 rings was taken. The rings have a total value of around £7000 and are quite distinctive, particularly a diamond ring with an especially high setting.”
