It is thought the Clio had been seen in the area of Oaklands Drive in Hessle at around 11.30am and also after the incident.

Det Insp Allison Sweeting said: “A team of detectives are currently investigating this incident to establish who the offenders are and bring them to justice. At this time it is being treated as an isolated incident, however it was very scary for the security guard involved and we are keen to identify the perpetrators as quickly as possible.

“Enquiries are still at an early stage and we need the public's assistance with any information that may assist us in identifying the men responsible and their whereabouts. We would urge people who witnessed the robbery or saw the men acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch."
