RSPCA searching for thugs who threw ginger cat from car in Doncaster and left her to drown after she is saved by heroic dog walker
The long-haired ginger female, who has been affectionately named Honey, was victim of horrific cruelty when she was flung from a black Honda into Mill Dyke in Doncaster last weekend.
She began to drown, but a dog walker who had seen her thrown into the water rushed to her aid, pulling the terrified pet to safety and cradling her in his arms.

Honey was dried off as the woman called her husband for help.
The RSPCA is now appealing for any witnesses or people who may have information on what happened so they can bring those responsible to justice.
Honey was found to be dramatically underweight and had an exposed abscess, and vets who shaved her matted fur found her spine showing and a severe flea problem, as well as discovering she was very weak and had cuts on her skin.

Animal rescuer inspector Graeme Petty appealed for anyone who can help find whoever threw her from the moving car on Finkle Street, Bentley, to get in touch.
“For a person to callously throw a neglected cat into water to an almost certain death is absolutely awful," he said.
“There is about 15ft of land before you reach the water - so it seems someone has made a real effort to try and drown her.

“As he had a dog with him he passed Honey to a woman nearby who dried her off and cared for her before taking her to the vets for treatment.
“She and her husband were amazing and I am so grateful for the help of these caring members of the public."
Honey had not been microchipped, so any information on her previous owners is urgently needed.
“Poor Honey was in a terrible state," Insp Petty added.

Hide Ad"She was clearly underweight and her bones could be felt, her fur was matted, she had an untreated abscess on her back and was covered in fleas.
She had obviously been neglected for sometime before this distressing incident.
She is a distinctive looking long-haired ginger cat, aged about two, so I believe someone will know who she belonged to. We also know a black Honda was involved in the incident so am hoping that may help someone identify the person responsible.
“I would also like to speak to the man who helped save Honey too as he may have some information that could help us.
