Schoolgirl, 11, chased by men and robbed behind West Yorkshire high school

An 11-year-old girl has been robbed while walking through fields behind a school in West Yorkshire.


West Yorkshire Police is appealing for information on the incident which happened behind Salendine Nook High School, in Huddersfield, on Tuesday March 22 between 3.10pm and 3.30pm.

The victim was walking with two friends through fields off Bull Green Road when three men, all aged around 19, chased them and robbed items of school uniform.

The suspects were all wearing ‘Teeboy’ tops. Two are described as having blond hair and one as having brown hair. The male with brown hair’s top was described as maroon.

Detective Constable Simon Marshall, of Kirklees CID, said: “This is a concerning offence against a young schoolgirl which has happened in broad daylight as she has been walking home.

“I would urge anyone who saw this incident or knows the suspects to please come forward so that these males can be dealt with as soon as possible.”
