Sheffield shop attempt robber's note claiming he had a gun

DETECTIVES investigating a reported attempted robbery at a shop in Sheffield have issued a CCTV image of a man they believe could help with enquiries.

At around 3.10pm on Monday 4 July, it is reported that a man entered the Money Shop in Hatfield House Lane, Shiregreen, Sheffield, and handed the cashier a note demanding money.

The note stated that the man had a gun, though no weapon was seen during the incident.

Staff members called police and the man to leave the shop empty handed.

Police believe the man pictured could hold vital information and want to hear from anyone who may recognise him, or who witnessed the incident last week.
