Shop worker threatened with knife during robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses following the robbery in Balby on Tuesday this week.

At about 8.15pm, a man walked into an off licence in Littlemoor Lane carrying what is believed to be a knife. The man, who also had his face covered, is then said to have threatened a shop worker and demanded money from the till.No one was injured during the incident but the member of staff was understandably left distressed by the incident, South Yorkshire Police said.The man then left the shop with a quantity of cash.Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting incident number 1011 of 9 February 2016.Alternatively, information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
