Teenage girls attack woman on Wakefield street

The 33-year-old woman was walking along Bolus Lane, Outwood, Wakefield, when she was approached by the two teenagers who pushed her to the ground and stole her mobile phone.

The victim suffered a broken ankle during the incident, which happened at around 6pm on Tuesday January 19.

Two members of the public are believed to have witnessed the incident and came to the aid of the victim, causing the suspects to run off.

Det Cons Alex Fletcher of Wakefield District CID, said; “This incident has occurred during the early part of the evening in a residential area, and although it was dark I am certain that someone will have seen something.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around Bolus Lane and may have seen the suspects prior to or after the incident to come forward. I would also appeal directly to the two members of the public who came to assist the victim to contact police as they may hold vital information. Enquiries are ongoing.”

Both suspects are described as white and aged around 19-years-old.

One was skinny with black hair, which was tied up. She was and wearing a white coloured top.

The second is described as being around 5ft 5in tall with with blonde hair, which was tied up. She was and wearing a red top and red jogging bottom
