IS terror trial: Man admits plotting drive-by police shootings on moped
The first defendant, Tarik Hassane, 22, admitted conspiracy to murder and preparation of terrorist acts as the defence was about to start in the Old Bailey trial.
The charges state that he conspired with co-defendants and others to murder “a person or persons unknown” between July 8 and September 25 2014.

Hide AdAnd between July 8 2014 and October 7 2014, they researched, planned and sourced a weapon and ammunition with a “view to committing an attack or attacks on a person or persons within the United Kingdom”.
Three other co-accused, all from West London, deny the charges. They are: Nyall Hamlett, 25, Nathan Cuffy, 26, and Suhaib Majeed, 21. Some of them are also variously charged with firearms offences.
Trial judge Mr Justice Wilkie instructed the jury to formally find Hassane guilty and said he would be sentenced on a future date.
He adjourned the case until Monday.
