The criminals jailed at Leeds Crown Court in December and their crimes and sentences

Leeds Crown Court played host to many cases in December and these are the ones the Yorkshire Evening Post reported on during the month.

Those jailed include a couple who engaged in sex activity with a 14-year-old girl, a prison officer who had sex with an inmate and a man who shot a cat with a crossbow. All information accurate at time of sentencing at Leeds Crown Court in December 2018.

Gill killed his girlfriend's cat with a crossbow during a violent, abusive and controlling relationship. He shot the animal through the stomach and neck before dumping it in a bin outside the woman's home in Leeds.

The court heard Fox and Slym were drunk when they invited the girl back to their hotel room in Huddersfield in 2016. Earlier in the day the defendants had a "lengthy conversation" with the girl where she told the pair she was 14.
