Three-year ban for football fan
A FOOTBALL fan from Scunthorpe has been banned from attending matches for three years after running on the pitch at Scunthorpe United’s Glanford Park.
Jason Thomas, 38, of Clevedon Road, Scunthorpe, was arrested after running onto the pitch during a match against Cardiff City last November. He was also fined £190 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Pc Paul Hurrell said: “Anti-social behaviour at football matches will not be tolerated.
“Let this be a warning that police will target those who want to cause trouble.”
