Two arrested after baby taken to hospital in ‘serious condition’

A MAN and a woman are being questioned by police today after a baby was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Humberside Police officers received a call from staff at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby at about 6am yesterday after a baby was admitted for treatment.

The baby has been transferred to Sheffield Children’s Hospital and remains in a serious condition.

The man and the woman have been arrested in connection with the investigation and are currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Officers from the Humberside force are also visiting a property in Kings Mews in Cleethorpes as part of the inquiry.
