Two charged in murder hunt

Two men have been charged with conspiracy to defraud as part of an investigation into the murder of former oil executive Carole Waugh, Scotland Yard said.

Miss Waugh’s body was found with a single stab wound inside a car in a lock-up garage in south west London, on August 2.

Derek Eastham, 55, of Westminster, is accused of conspiring to defraud banks and other financial institutions and being in possession of counterfeit currency. Elie Khoury, 39, of Paddington, is alleged to have conspired to defraud banks and other financial institutions.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between April and August 1. Miss Waugh had not been seen since mid-April.

Both men were bailed to appear in court on January 10.
