Two men arrested for dealing Class A drugs in North Yorkshire

Police in Craven have arrested two men over drugs offences after stopping a car in a supermarket car park.

Officers were on patrol around Skipton on Thursday when they noticed a black Volkswagen Golf on Main Street in Cross Hills.

After spotting the vehicle again in a nearby supermarket car park, the officers used stop and search powers to search the car and speak to the driver and passenger.

Both were found to have Class A drugs on their persons, while one also had a large amount of cash.

The men, aged 31 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and taken in to custody.

Both have been released pending further investigation.
