UPDATE: Teenage boy killed in moped crash in Swallownest named

A 16-year-old boy died following a road traffic collision in Swallownest, South Yorkshire.

At round 10.20pm, it is reported that a blue Citroen C3 and a red Peugeot Speedfighter moped were in collision in Mansfield Road, Swallownest, near to the junction with Florence Avenue.

The 16-year-old boy riding the moped sustained fatal injuries. He was named today as Joshua Tyler, from Sheffield.

It is thought that the moped was travelling along Mansfield Road heading away from Swallownest centre.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.
