The charges come after an incident at about 9.50am on Thursday between a group of men who were not thought to be armed and several men wielding weapons.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Four men initially entered the premises and were followed by several other men in the possession of weapons, believed to be machetes.

“The armed men left the scene in a 4x4 Mitsubishi Shogun vehicle, which was subsequently damaged on steps outside the building and abandoned. The men then made off and nobody was injured.”

Police found a number of vehicles containing balaclavas, gloves and weapons during searches in the area after the incident. Several vehicles have been seized.
