Victim, 18, named in South Yorkshire murder investigation

The man who died after a stabbing in Doncaster last week has today been named by police, as his family spoke of their shock and devastation at his death.

Lewis Guest, 18, was taken to hospital on Wednesday March 8 after emergency services were called to flats just off Wadworth Street, Denaby Main, at about 2.30pm after reports of an assault.

He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. A post-mortem examination concluded he died from a stab wound.

His family have today released a picture of him and issued a statement which says: "Lewis’ family are shocked and devastated by his death. They wish to thank all those people who have taken the time to leave their kind thoughts of Lewis on social media.

“However, his family would ask that their privacy is respected at this very sad time.”

Megan Sambrook, 18, of Wadworth Street, Denaby Main, has been charged with murder in connection with his death.
