Victim suffers fractured skull in Halifax town centre gang attack

Police are appealing for information after a man suffered a fractured skull during an attack in Halifax.

The assault happened in Commercial Street at about 10pm on Sunday August 30

The victim, a man in his thirties, was punched in the head and fell to the ground.

It is alleged that five males were involved in the incident. Three were said to have made off on foot and the other two were believed to have got into a black Volkswagen Golf.

The victim suffered a fractured skull, which is thought to have been the result of him falling after being hit.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have information which will assist the investigation is asked to contact Calderdale CID on 101 or by using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
