Victim of violent attack in West Yorkshire by five men suffers fractured skull

The victim of a violent attack in West Yorkshire by five men has suffered a fractured skull - with police launching an appeal for witnesses.

The attack took place in Halifax city centre on Commercial Street at about 10pm on Sunday, August 30.

The victim, a man in his thirties, was punched in the head and fell to the ground, police confirmed.

It is alleged that five males were involved in the incident.

Three were said to have made off on foot and the other two were believed to have got into a black Volkswagen Golf.

The victim suffered a fractured skull, which is thought to have been the result of him falling after being hit.
