Video: Doncaster man in serious condition after being assaulted and involved in van crash

Two people have been arrested in connection with drug offences, following an incident in a Doncaster suburb during which a man was reportedly assaulted and involved in a collision with a van.

The incident occurred at around 10.55pm on Monday, when police were called to the Warmsworth Road/Alder Grove area of Balby following reports of a disturbance at a property there.
A police spokesman said: “It is reported that a 32-year-old man and a van were involved in a collision outside the property.
“The 32-year-old was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
“Officers believe he may also have been assaulted.”
Two people have also been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences, following the incident. 
A 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and remain in police custody today being questioned by police.
The police spokesman continued: “There continues to be a police presence in the local community as officers gather evidence and carry out house-to-house enquiries.
