West Yorkshire Police pay tribute after Yorkshire officer dies on duty

West Yorkshire Police have paid tribute to a fellow officer killed while responding to an incident in Sheffield.

A marked police motorcycle was responding to an incident at around 1pm yesterday (Tuesday, March 21) when it was involved in a crash with a blue Toyota Avensis on Nether Lane in the Ecclesfield area of Sheffield.

Officers were responding to reports of a silver BMW failing to stop for police.
