Wheels on the bus... are stolen by Selby crooks

POLICE are investigating the theft of several new bus wheels worth thousands of pounds from Sherburn Industrial Estate near Selby.

The theft of 36 wheels with fitted tyres were taken overnight between Friday August 24 and Saturday August 25.

PC David Fulford, of Selby Police, said: “This is an unusual theft and I am appealing to anyone with information that could help the investigation to come forward.

“If you saw any suspicious activity in the area of Sherburn Industrial Estate on the night of the offence, please contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any of these wheels for sale in recent weeks.”
