Woman charged with murder of York man in 2007

A woman has been charged with the murder of a man in York more than 13 years ago.

Police have charged Sharron Roustoby with the murder of John David Clarke, known as David, who died in 2007.

The body of Mr Clarke, 43, was recovered from the River Foss near Towthorpe in April of that year.

Roustoby, 50, of Rowntree Avenue in York, has been remanded into custody, North Yorkshire Police said.

The charge follows David Roustoby, 44, of Rawcliffe Lane, York, was also charged back in April with the murder of Mr Clarke.

Both remain in custody awaiting a future court date.
