Woman due in court over Harrogate child abduction case

A WOMAN has been arrested and charged after a three-year-old girl was allegedly abducted in Harrogate.

The 30-year-old was arrested on Thursday April 2 on suspicion of child abduction, after a three-year-old girl was reported missing from Harrogate on Wednesday April 1.

She has now been charged with attempting to take away a child in care without lawful authority, and passport offences. She is due to appear at York Crown Court on Monday.

The child involved is safe and well and is being cared for by her father.
