Woman held for murder after Leeds tower block plunge

Officers were called to Grantham Towers in the Lincoln Green area just after 9pm on Monday to reports of a man with serious injuries.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police received a report from the ambulance service that they were attending a seriously injured man who had fallen from flats at Grantham Towers, Lincoln Green.

“The 39-year-old man was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.”

A 27-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the incident.

Police said enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
