Women face court over lane bodies

Two women will appear in court today in connection with the deaths of two men found in a quiet country lane in Bradford last week.

The women, aged 26 and 63, arrested at an address in the Leeds Road area of Bradford on Friday were last night charged with two counts of murder and two counts of assisting an offender and are due today to appear before Bradford Magistrates’ Court.

The dead men, named as 27-year-old Shahbzada Muhammed Imran, known locally as Imran Khan, of Bradford, and Ahmedin Sayed Khyel, aged 35, from London, were discovered badly beaten and drenched in blood on Tuesday evening in New Lane, Bradford, close to the picturesque village of Tong to the south-east of the city.

The condition of the two men’s bodies when found was reportedly so bad that detectives were initially unable to give accurate ages for the pair, or even establish their ethnicity.

Forensic inquiries were also carried out by officers at a separate address in Heath Terrace, Bradford.

Meanwhile police are still questioning two men on suspicion of a separate murder in the area after a man’s burning body was found less than a mile away.
