Youth in court for manslaughter over North Yorkshire takeaway attack

A YOUTH has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a teenager who died after an attack outside a pizza takeaway in North Yorkshire.

Daniel Crowther, 17, died from head injuries after the attack outside College Pizzas in Stokesley High Street, Stokesley, on Saturday night.

Today a 17-year-old from Guisborough, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Northallerton Magistrates’ Court.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Northallerton Youth Court on 24 May.

A male and female, both 17, and a 25-year-old man, have been released on bail.

Daniel’s family said his death had left a “huge hole” in their lives.
