Crimewatch to feature farm arson tragedy
THE death of Wakefield pensioner Lea Brooke, who died in an arson attack at her home, will be featured on BBC1’s Crimewatch this evening at 9pm.
The eighty-one-year-old died after white spirit was poured through the letterbox of her home at Sandal Grange Farm, Sandal, causing the blaze at her property in the early hours of Monday, November 10, 2008.
The programme will feature a reconstruction of events that night as well as an appeal for information from Det Supt Dave Pervin, who is leading the investigation.
He said: “I hope that this latest appeal on Crimewatch will prompt someone to come forward and give us that vital piece of information we need.”
