Cyclist assaulted after altercation with pedestrians near Hull shopping centre

A cyclist was injured after an altercation at pedestrian crossing in Hull city centre.

The incident happened on Ferensway at around 1.40pm on Saturday when a cyclist approached the pedestrian crossing outside St Stephen's Shopping Centre.

After stopping at the crossing, there was a reported altercation between the cyclist and a number of pedestrians.

It resulted in the cyclist being hit by a man and falling off his bike.

The man involved was said to be with a woman and a pram at the time of the incident.

Humberside Police said the cyclist had suffered minor injuries.
