Dame fashions armed forces appeal

Dame Shirley Bassey was one of a host of stars who braved the elements for a unique fashion event to honour Britain's armed forces.

Fashion for the Brave, staged last night at London’s Dorchester Hotel, marked the first time in the 350-year-old history of The Household Cavalry, that the regiment has ever taken part in such an event.

The black tie gala had set a fundraising target of 1m for three military charities: Help for Heroes, Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund, and ABF The Soldiers Charity.
