Dancing day for Daisy
FOUR-year-old Daisy Anne Bolton’s dream came true yesterday when she met the real Sugar Plum Fairy at Northern Ballet in Leeds.
Daisy Anne’s visit to its Quarry Hill home was arranged to celebrate kokino-marvo sponsoring dancer Lori Gilchrist, as part of Northern Ballet’s Sponsor a Dancer campaign.
The Leeds-based business analytics and modelling service have signed a three-year deal to sponsor her after managing director Andy Bolton heard that Northern Ballet were at risk of losing dancers following funding cuts.
He said: “It was brought home to me how lucky we are to have Northern Ballet in the area and how important it is to make sure that the company continues to thrive.”
