The Beast from the East is set to arrive in Yorkshire this weekend bringing with it a cold snap that is expected to last until mid-March.

The Met Office has urged people to take extra special care with the elderly and the young as worst-case-scenario predictions suggest a drop in temperatures to at least -13C.
