More than 160 people have so far booked a place at the day school, which is in its 10th year.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's senior conservation archaeologist, Robert White, said: "It is still as popular as ever, which shows just how interested people are in the historic environment of the national park."

Speakers will include experts from Lancaster University, the Ingleborough Archaeology Group, the Yorkshire Museums Trust, and the Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Archaeology Group.

The day school will be held in Grassington Town Hall on Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm.

Tickets priced at 10 and 7.50 for concessions are available by calling 01969 652353 or emailing [email protected].
