Deadline looms for Yorkshire Residential Property Awards

Organisers of this year’s Yorkshire Residential Property Awards are urging designers, developers, agents and consultants to get their entries in. The closing date is August 26.The awards put property talent in the spotlight and combine positive PR and a pat on the back for the sector with vital fund-raising, networking and a great night out. They also offer a business boost and valuable marketing tool for award winners and runners-up.The prestigious event is organised by Variety, the Children’s Charity, and has a twin goal of rewarding the best property professionals and projects while raising funds to help the region’s sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.The 2019 awards dinner will be at Bowcliffe Hall in Bramham on Thursday, October 10. TV presenter Gethin Jones has once again agreed to be the celebrity host for the evening.There is a chance for all involved in the residential property sector to enter and entering couldn’t be easier, see below for details.

All in a good cause

Elaine Owen, Chair of the Yorkshire committee for Variety, says: “The awards really do celebrate everything that is exceptional in a sector that is so vibrant in our region. They are not only about organisations but the people who drive them forward with a vision to improve where we all work, live and play.”She adds that all money raised at the Variety awards events is spent in Yorkshire“The Variety charity in Yorkshire has an absolute determination to improve the lives of children and young people who live with disability or poor health and are disadvantaged by poverty. Every year we are humbled and hugely grateful for the generosity of the Yorkshire property sector and the people in it.”A great deal has been achieved in the last 12 months thanks to the funds raised via the various Variety awards events.The money has paid for eight Sunshine coaches, which allow more children to have adventures outside of school. It has also funded 23 wheelchairs and specialist equipment that has transformed the lives of children and their families, and more than 3,000 children have benefited from the Variety Great Days Out programme.It also staged a Variety Big Build with the Springwater School Project, which vastly improved facilities at the special needs school. Along with generous donations at awards events, Yorkshire property firms offered extra financial and physical resources to the project.The Yorkshire Residential Property Awards are organised by Variety, the children’s charity.
