Detectives issue fresh appeal after man, 22, dies in crash

Detectives investigating a fatal car crash in Bingley have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward.

The collision happened on Sunday, February 26 at around 4.12am on Bradford Road.

Police and ambulance services were called to the scene where a blue Audi RS4 had collided with a tree and a lamppost outside Ashfield Court.

A 22-year-old man, who police said was the passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police are now appealing for information about a black Volkwagen Golf car which is believed to have been travelling in tandem with the Audi at the time of the collision. 

The cars are thought to have been travelling through the Heaton area of Bradford, then along Toller Lane and onto Cottingley and Bingley, where the collision occurred. 

Two men, aged 23 and 24, travelling in the Golf have been arrested.

A 24-year-old man who was driving the Audi was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. 

Anyone who has any information about either of these vehicles prior to the collision or witnessed the incident itself, is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101 quoting log number 317 of 26/2.
