Disabled travel services on the move

A service for people with disabilities is being expanded.

Bradford Council is to offer advice to those applying for the Blue Badge parking scheme or Disabled Persons’ Concessionary Travel passes from more outlets.

From next Thursday, these services will be available from the bdirect contact centre at Forster Square, the Manningham Centre, Keighley Town Hall and Bingley Council Shop.

The concessionary transport team at Bingley Town Hall is moving to Bradford city centre.

Martin Stubbs, Bradford Council’s assistant director of revenue and benefits, said it would try to keep disruption to a minimum during the changeover.

However, to help with the move, the service will be unavailable from today to Thursday, September 2.
