Dog put down after attack on teenager

A TEENAGER needed hospital treatment after he was attacked by a dog in Bradford.

Police were called to the Great Horton area to reports of a dog attack on a 15-year-old boy.

The teenager was later taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary for treatment.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene and located the dog and its owner. The owner subsequently agreed to put the dog down and return a vet’s certificate to the police as proof of its destruction.

“At the time of this agreement, all parties involved including the victim were happy with this course of action.”

The dog has been put down since Sunday’s attack.
