Officers said the motorcyclist died following a collision with a red Vauxhall Astra on Toulston Lane at the junction with Rudgate, near Tadcaster Grammar School at 5.20pm yesterday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s from the local area, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the crash.
