Driver threatened at knifepoint in West Yorkshire

A DRIVER was threatened at knifepoint during an attempted armed robbery in West Yorkshireon Bonfire Night.

Police said the suspects’ Peugeot 406 car blocked the victim’s vehicle, forcing it to stop on Freakfield lane at Harsthead, Liversidge, just ater 8.30pm last night.

Three men, all with scarves covering their faces, got out of the Peugeot.

One of the suspects, described as a mixed race man, opened the victim’s driver door and threatened him with a ‘dagger’ style knife.

He told the victim to unlock the boot then the other two suspects looked in the boot but took nothing. All three suspects then got back into the Peugeot and drove off.
Det Cons Andy Clayton from Huddersfield CID said, “The victim was subjected to a very harrowing incident and we are asking the public to help us find the men who did this.
