Driver’s apology fails to calm road rage man
A DRIVER who narrowly missed hitting a van tried to apologise but was punched in the face in a road rage attack in North Yorkshire.
The 20-year-old victim was driving his red Volkswagen Golf along a narrow road in Setterington, near Malton when he entered a diversion and nearly collided with a black Citroen Berlingo.
The Golf driver reversed to apologise but the van driver hit him.
The suspect was white, about 6ft, with brown hair and stubble. He spoke with a local accent and his van’s plate began YX11 or YX12.
Police are seeking information that will identify the van driver.
